Mental health access

You can't afford therapy. That does not mean you have to carry this alone.

Mental health care should not be a luxury. But for most people it is. If you are in the gap — needing to talk but unable to access professional support — Mindfuse is a place to start. Real people, real conversations, available now.

The real cost of not talking

When access to professional support is blocked, most people fall silent.

Private therapy can cost anywhere from €60 to €200 per session. For most people on ordinary incomes — especially after housing, food, and transportation — that is simply not possible. Subsidised options exist in many countries but often involve waiting lists of weeks or months, by which point the acute need has either passed or worsened without support.

The cruel irony is that people who most need support are often those least able to pay for it. Financial stress, job instability, housing pressure — these are the very conditions that create the need to talk, and they are also the conditions that make the cost of talking prohibitive.

Silence is not neutral. Unprocessed feelings accumulate. The longer something sits without being said, the harder it becomes to say it. Having somewhere to put things — even imperfect, even informal — matters.

What peer conversation offers

You do not always need a professional. Sometimes you need a person.

Therapy provides structured clinical support. Peer conversation provides something different but also valuable: the experience of being heard by another human being without agenda. Research consistently shows that social support — the kind that comes from speaking to someone who listens — has measurable effects on stress, mood, and resilience. You do not need a license to provide that. You need presence.

Mindfuse is not clinical care. It is access to human connection — real voices, real listening, available immediately. One free conversation to start. €4 a month if you want ongoing access. Less than the cost of a single therapy session co-pay.

If you are in crisis, please contact a professional service. If you need to talk and therapy is out of reach, this is a place to start.

Other options to explore

Low-cost and free support exists — you may need to look for it.

Community mental health centres often offer sliding-scale fees based on income. Universities with psychology departments frequently run low-cost therapy clinics. Online platforms have democratised access to some extent, with some offering services starting at €30–40 per session. Crisis lines are free and available around the clock.

None of these are perfect substitutes for each other. Use what is available to you. Mindfuse is one piece of that — immediate, anonymous, human, and affordable.
